The National
Next Of Kin Registry (NOKR) is a FREE high-speed solution to locating
your Next Of Kin in urgent situations.
NOKR is designed as an
emergency contact system to help if you or your family member is
missing, injured or deceased. NOKR is a free service to the public as well as the
Local and State agencies using the search service.
The injury or passing of a loved
one is a difficult time for families and friends. This sad time is compounded
when you're not informed when a loved one is injured or passes on.
This happens when Local and State Agencies are unable to
locate a family member or
Next Of Kin. This would happen for
numerous reasons:
NOKR will
provide services not “if” a tragedy should occur, not “if” a
disaster should happen but “when” these events come about.

NOKR News Update:
9-27-2005
NOKR volunteers are continuing to call back
and receive calls from families seeking
information
on those still missing
or unaccounted for during Hurricane Katrina and Rita. If you have
found your family, NOKR does encourage you to register yourself
and your family in the National Next of Kin Registry Proactively (Click
Here To Register). We must
all continue to prepare for the next disaster "When" it happens.
Safeguard yourself and your family now, dont wait for the next
disaster to register. |

Why should I register myself or my family with NOKR?
By registering
with NOKR, you will inform emergency agencies Nationally and
Internationally
who should be contacted if you or your family member is
missing, injured or deceased.
Many
people think that if they are carrying a driver's license,
passport or identification card, authorities will know who their
emergency contact is, this identification only indicates who you are not who
should be contacted. Often times though, the information is not
current or readily available and it becomes very difficult to
locate a contact,
who will speak for you or your family member when they can’t? NOKR
is the solution.
Here are just a
few scenarios where your information will be useful.
-
Missing or
injured child, adult or senior
-
Accidents while
traveling Nationally or Internationally
-
Unconscious
person unable to communicate
-
Natural
Disasters
(Hurricanes, Tornados, Floods, Tsunamis, Fires)
-
Terrorist Acts
Nationally or Internationally
-
Deceased
person used to locate a next of kin or point of contact
NOKR is
currently used Nationally and Internationally. NOKR can be found
on many, city, state and country websites throughout the world.
